DAY 07: Rose Essential Oil

Rose is one of the most precious essential oils in the world and has one of the most labour-intensive production processes. Rose Essential Oil is known as the oil of ‘Divine Love’ (source: Emotions and Essential Oils) and holds the highest vibration of any oil on the planet.

A few years ago I spent some time living in Sofia, Bulgaria. I had an incredible time while I was there and met the most beautiful people, our hearts will forever be connected. I was not at all surprised to learn that the optimal place on Earth for the production of Rose Essential Oil (in terms of climate, soil conditions etc) was the country that I felt such love in, Bulgaria.

Here are a few Rose essentials:

Sourced from: Bulgaria

Plant part: petals

Extraction method: steam distilled

Rose is a natural:
  • Antidepressant
  • Aphrodisiac
  • Antispasmodic
  • Sedative
  • Tonic

As I mentioned above, Rose Essential Oil has one of most labour-intensive production processes. It takes approximately 8000 rose flowers to produce a 5mL bottle of Rose oil. dōTERRA is conscious of this and does not want to over harvest or have to compromise on quality. So dōTERRA created ‘Rose Touch’, a 10ml roller of Rose Essential oil which is combined with Fractioned Coconut Oil making this oil not only affordable and convenient for use but also gentle on our planet. With that in mind, I will just be sharing about the topical uses for ‘Rose Touch’:

  • For a beautiful personal fragrance, apply ‘Rose Touch’ to your neck and wrists and use as a toxic free perfume. The scent of Rose can also provide emotional benefits so throughout the day, when your mood needs a lift, apply ‘Rose Touch’ to your heart and pulse points.
  • ‘Rose Touch’ is known to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections and promote healthy-looking, radiant skin. Apply directly, morning or night.

This is one of my favorite essential reflection questions that you ask. And what an incredible rose-making process! Thanks for this divine Ros(i)e.
